Jose Torres challenges our brains to work in new ways by throwing his images in our cerebral spokes, cranking thoughts to a halt while vivid and dreamlike. He's from Fort Worth, Texas, and has created tour posters for various bands including a friend of IPMM, Elixir On Mute. As of the end of 2012 he has worked with Elixir On Mute, Afros and Furcoats, Paint, The Symptoms of Stereophonic Transmission (Defunct), has created collateral for businesses', and most recently created the flyer for the IPaintMyMind Collection gallery exhibition at Galerie F. We were so impressed with his style, color, and vision, that we had to get him on board. All we gave him was the notion of the skyline playing a vital role in the design, and he made it pop. Jose shows much love to his mentor and instructor, Alvaro Perez, who he credits with helping him thrive as an artist. The images Jose comes up with are too stimulating not to get a lot more attention, and we expect big things from him.
